The CADR is strong enough for up to 450 square feet, where you will get five air changes per hour, theoretically. It has True HEPA filters, and it will capture 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. These include pollen, mold spores, house dust, smoke particles, and airborne germs.

Instead of having a granular activated carbon filter, Honeywell HPA300 comes with a flimsy carbon pre-filter, unsuitable for adsorbing odors and chemicals from the air.

The purifier has four fan speed settings, and they are labeled as Germ, General Cleaning, Allergen, and Turbo. On the turbo mode, it’s quite louder (< 63DB). For reference, the sound level of an aircon is 60 decibels.

Although it has no built-in air quality sensor but has three-level timer settings: 2, 4, and 8 hr.

The composite pre-filter lasts for three months, and the HEPA filter lasts for 12 months. The purifier has a filter status indicator for both filters, which counts the running time. Neither filters are washable, but they are cost-friendly.

Honeywell HPA200 comes with two True HEPA filters, where the HPA100 comes with one, and the HPA300 comes with three. Like the Honeywell HPA300 model, the HPA200 has 4 level fan speeds and 3 level auto shut-off timers.

The Tobacco Smoke CADR is 200 cfm, which is suitable for 300 square feet rooms. In a room of this size, it will completely filter the air every 12 minutes.

The pre-filter also acts as an odor filter as it is a composite carbon filter. None of the filters are washable. You have to replace the odor pre-filter every 3 months and the True HEPA filters every 12 months.

The model has no air quality sensor or wireless connectivity. However, you can choose the Honeywell HPA250B model for remote control with the smartphone app.
